Privacy Policy
In short: Log Anything does not collect your data. Your trackers and entries are stored on your iPhone, and we never receive them.
- No account or sign-in.
- No analytics, advertising, tracking or third-party SDKs.
- The app’s only network activity is the App Store checking an optional purchase.
- Your data leaves your iPhone only if you export or back it up.
Who we are
Log Anything is published by Mistaro Digital Ltd (“we”, “us”). If you have a question about this policy or your data, email loganything@mistaro.com.
What the app stores
To do its job, the app stores the following on your device:
- Trackers: the name, symbol and colour you choose, and when the tracker was created.
- Entries: the date and time of each event you log, when it was recorded, and whether it came from the app, a widget or a manual addition.
- Preferences: your appearance setting (System, Light or Dark).
This information is kept in the app’s private storage on your iPhone, shared only between the app and its own Home Screen widgets. It is protected by iOS file protection and isn’t accessible to other apps. Log Anything does not ask for access to your location, contacts, photos, health data or any other personal information.
What we collect
Nothing. The app has no server, no account system and no analytics, and it sends no information about your trackers or entries to us or to anyone else. We can’t see them.
When your data leaves your iPhone
Only in these cases, all under your control:
- CSV export. Settings → Export Data as CSV creates a file containing all your trackers and entries and opens the iOS share sheet. Where it goes next (Files, Mail, AirDrop and so on) is your choice, and that service’s own privacy terms apply. The temporary export file is removed from the app afterwards.
- Device backups. If you back up your iPhone with iCloud Backup or to a computer, the app’s data is included in that backup like other app data. This is managed by Apple and by you, not by us. Log Anything has no sync service of its own.
In-app purchase
Unlimited Trackers is an optional one-time purchase made through the App Store. Apple processes the payment under its own privacy policy. The app only checks with the App Store whether this Apple Account has the purchase. We don’t receive your name, email address or payment details. Apple gives us only aggregated sales and refund reports.
Home Screen widgets
If you add a Log Anything widget, it shows the tracker names and last-logged times you choose on your Home Screen, where anyone who can see your iPhone may see them. Widget content is marked as sensitive so that iOS can hide it in the places where it hides private widget content. Tapping a widget logs an event on your device only.
Deleting your data
- Delete a single entry by swiping it in a tracker’s history, or from the entry editor.
- Delete a tracker and all of its entries from Edit Tracker → Delete Tracker.
- Delete everything by deleting the app (and its widgets) from your iPhone. Copies in existing device backups or files you exported are not affected; you can delete those separately.
Health and other sensitive information
You may choose to track things that relate to your health, such as medication or symptoms. That information stays on your device under the same rules as everything else in the app. Log Anything records events; it does not interpret them or give medical advice.
Children
Log Anything is a general utility and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
This website
This site uses no cookies, analytics, advertising or third-party scripts, fonts or embeds. Like any web server, our hosting provider may keep standard access logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) for security and to keep the site running. We don’t use those logs to identify you.
If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply, and we delete the correspondence when it’s no longer needed.
Your rights
Because we don’t hold any personal data from the app, there’s normally nothing for us to access, correct or delete. Your app data is on your device and under your control. If you’ve emailed us, you can ask us to access or delete that correspondence. If you are in the UK or EU, you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office).
Changes to this policy
If we change how the app handles data, we’ll update this page and its effective date before the change takes effect. Material changes will also be described in the App Store release notes.
